Keg at the Coronado taproom, Coronado Island, 13/11/14. Black with a decent tan covering. Nose is big roast, liqourice, charr, spice, toffee. Taste comprises rich malt, chocolate, vanilla, roasty tones, spice. Medium + bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close with light booze strokes. Decent enough impy, pretty seimple, easy drinker.

On tap at Churchill's Pub & Grill in San Marcos, CA. Opaque, brown-black with a thin tan head and fair lacing. Aroma of cocoa, roasted malt and dark roasted coffee. Pours a dark brown black with dark tan thick head. Aroma is dark chocolate coffee roasted malt . Taste follows the aroma with a slight tobacco and leather note in the sip. medium mouth feel. Lots of bubbles on the side of the. Glass. Pretty standard double stout but made very well.

Pours a very dark and thick brown with a moderate tan head. Nose has some roasting and some alcohol notes in there. Taste has some slightly bitter roasting in there, but finishes smoothly.

4oz on tap at Brass Tap Cincinnati. Awesome heavy roast, dark chocolate, coffee up front... Bigger body. Smooth, chewy velvety texture. Dark fruit. Big dark chocolate, love that aspect. Bigger bitterness. Moderate sweet. Dark chocolate. Thin layer of brown head. Leaves good, thicker lace. Tasty stuff. Nice mocha, dark chocolate, and moderate to bigger roast flavors on this guy. I dig it.

Split a 22oz bottle of this on Christmas Day. Poured a near-black color with a medium sized tan head. Aroma was nice roasted malts, with notes of chocolate. Flavor was chocolate, some bitterness, earthy notes. Pretty tasty.
