Pours black color with a small beige head. Very dry malty aroma, dark cocoa, some roast and even dark berries on the background. Grain and dark roasty malts on the flavor, cocoa, faint chocolate, very subtle coffee roast notes. Decent robust IS.

Tap at Coronado. Dark pour with a small beige head. Roasty, with some sweet lactose, bittersweet chocolate, and mild citrus hops. Really good beer.

Bottle, 650ml. 2015 edition. Opaque dark brown with a frothy brown head. Sweet chocolate and roasted aromas, with minty, spicy and lactose undertones. Medium to robust bodied with moderate carbonation. Rich and oily, with a deeply bittersweet roasted character into a sourish fruity and malty bitter finish. Weird and not totally in control, but has plenty of character and a pleasant drink.

Bottle, 650ml. A dark beer with a small brown head. Aroma is of chocolate, coffee, lactose and roasted malt. Taste is bitter with a roasted finish. Medium bodied with some carbonation and astringency. Aftertaste reminds me of coffee and some nuts. A good stout overall but slightly flat at the end.

April 19th, 2014 - Coronado Brewing’s Stupid Stout is a great, dark, chocolatey conclusion to a long line of tasters - a dark brew with a foamy head and long line of lacing, like a stitch down the glass. The aroma is pretty normal, a dose of malt, and the flavor is mild yet sweet. It’s more boozy than anything else, but the palate is still somehow light and crisp, a lot like the famous Velvet Merlin from Firestone Walker.
