This deep, dark, viscous brew stands up to other imperial stouts, delivering big flavors in a smooth, balanced and easy-drinking package. Robust and chocolaty with a hint of hop freshness, it’s the perfect beer to warm up with as winter cold sets in.

65 cl. bottle sampled @ RBBWG 2014. Courtesy of & thx! to Sebletitje. Black with a mocha head. Sweet touch boozy nose, liquorish, syrup, hint molasses, caramel, mocha. Taste is sweet, malty, toffee, mocha, touch liquorish, plenty of mocha. m/m body. Simple, nothing earth shattering but very substantial never the less.

From bomber. Pours dark with a finger of light brown head. Mild aroma of chocolate and coffee. Taste follows suit. This beer is perfectly fine...nothing outrageously special, but fine. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

My Bottom Line:
Milk chocolate and dulce de leche benefit from roastiness and minty hops in this smooth Imperial Stout.

Further Personal Perceptions:
-An initially generous head of foam dwindles atop the blackened dark brown.
-A splash of alcohol appears in the finish.
-The mouthfeel is rich yet approachable.
-This is neither very complex, nor very memorable (for the style).
-If I had gotten this blind, at home, I would have bet on Simple Malt Imperial Stout.

22 oz. bottle from Total Wine, Chesapeake, VA. Dark brown pour with a frothy khaki head. Aroma of rich roasted malt, chocolate, and flaked oats. Great, hearty flavor of smoky malts, dark roasted coffee, and dark chocolate. Moderate alcohol warming. A nicely done imperial stout.

A really creamy imperial stout. A nice roasted flavor Pours with a Lacey head that maintains it’s dark complexion. A very nice brew.

Dark brown in color with a thin tan head. Nice roasty aroma. Pretty simple coffee/chocolate aromas with a similar taste. Palate was somewhat thin, but I found that to actually be pleasant and easy to drink. Alcohol was completely hidden.

Tallahassee, Fl - Proof Bottle Shop - 22 oz bomber. Viscous inky black pour with a initial thick rocky mocha colored head. Aroma has a nice roasted essence to it with some chocolate accents with a touch of figs. Flavor is reminiscent of the aroma with a strong fig and molasses presence, some light chocolate notes, a brief hint of smokiness, som e potting soil notes in the finish. Mouthfeel is thick and has a hint of chalkiness, which I like. Good solid, non-overpowering Imperial stout - nice not to deal with bourbon and soy sauce!

22oz bottle in a tulip. Pours black with a lacy, tan head. Aroma of a good amount of roasted malts, some coffee and chocolate, a little dough, and light bitterness. Flavor mainly of the dark malts like an imperial stout should be. Smooth, thicker texture. A good imperial stout, but the texture is a little thin compared to others of the style.

Bomber bottle. Pours black, dark tan head. Aroma is vanilla, coffee, spice. Taste is spicy and coffee bitter. Very well put together.
