Tap@Beer Ditch, Malmö - pours black with tan head. Roasted and sweet malty aroma and taste, with big chocolate prominence, ashy charred burnt malty notes, coffee beans, decent hoppy backing, roasted finish.

Put this in some barrels. Much bigger body and viscous mouthfeel. Semi sweet. A little vanilla. Some chocolate malt on the finish. Smooth chocolate aromas. Much better base beer than the event horizon i just had.

A nice stout! Pours a deep black with a tan head. Smells of vanilla, peanuts, chocolate and coffee. Taste is very creamy and sweet, with vanilla and peanuts, and some coffee and chocolate in the finish. Had on tap at the Brewseum.

Tap at Marciero. Black with lace. Rich cocoa nose, light berries and coffee. A bit tart, but mainly quite sweet, lots of chocolate and cocoa and some berries and coffee. Nice.

650ml bottle from Ray’s in Tosa. Almost black pour with a brown head. Aroma has roasty malts, chocolate and caramel. Taste follows with a smokiness added as well. The blend is solid and the body is medium-to-full. Less carbonated than expected, with a bit of an alcohol presence. Finishes sweetly roasty. Was really excited to try this one after the barrel version, but this is not in the same league. Solid. 14.3

Fat på Beer-Ditch Malmö. Smak och doft av choklad, kaffe, espresso, lakrits med toner av vanilj, soja och karamell. Rund och len, kraftfull sötma, fina rena smaker, beska med lätt smak av mörk bitter choklad.

Very nice imperial stout. Aroma was good. A hint of hops with a big whiff of chocolate and coffee. Pour was a beautiful deep dark brown/near black with a thin tan ring for a head. Taste was better than the aroma. Very coffee driven with a nice chocolate background. Hop bitterness is evident and this tends to be more hoppy than most imperial stouts. Nice strong carbonation round the beer out. Nice one

Rating #1530 - 18.03.2015 - On tap at Coronado. Beautiful dark brown pour with a fairly foamy tan head with mild lacing. Aroma is chocolate, coffee, espresso. Taste is bubbly mouth feel, bold earth and coffee layered with hints of vanilla and chocolate. Centennial hop bite provides a fresh hop hit that’s rare but not unwelcome.

2014 edition, 650ml shared bottle at home from Craft & Draft, Amsterdam. Body is pitch black, head is small, brown, creamy, mostly diminishing, good lacing. Nose is roasted malt, light smoky, flavor is toast, roasted malt, chocolate, mild coffee, herbs. Medium sweet, medium to heavy bitter. Finish is long lasting roasty heavy bitter, later also hoppy. Full body, creamy texture, soft carbonation. Quite heavy dessert beer, simple but tasty, takes long time to drink it.
