Dark brown with a small head. Tiny aroma of roasted malt is barely noticeable. Decent flavor and body leaning towards soy and black malts. Astringent finish.

Bottle from Proof. Black pour with a small tan head. Aroma of roasted malts, bitter chocolate, lights plum and touches of minerals. Flavors is pretty similar with a pretty good hop bite at the end. Medium bodied with mild carbonation. Prett tasty.

Bottle. Dark brown pour with a brown head. Chocolatey aromas. Loads of roasted malts with mild chocolate and caramel malt backbeats. Above average mouthfeel and body.

Tap at Salted Pig, Riverside CA. Pours deep brown, near black, with red highlights. Smaller lacing. Nose is soy sauce, sticky sweet grape soda. Taste is concrete, asphalt. Palate is extremely abrasive, wildly papery and harsh. Palate devastating. Something went very wrong here- heavy oxidation or something.

Bomber from Lakes Market. Labeled as Stupid Stout, not stoopid. Yay speellign! Pours deep dark black. Little to no foam. Aroma is all chocolate and dark malt. Taste is dark roasty, followed by chocolate... bitter edge. 2nd taste brings more chocolate up front to balance the initial roasty toasty edge. Different beer on the 2nd taste. Gonna have to let it warm a bit to get a better sense... As it has warmed a little, some leather and coffee come through, with even a touch of raisins or prunes... Nice. Yum. Not great, but as a homebrewer, if I made a beer like this I’d be pleased.

This was delicious. I drank it after letting it age for about a year. Has vanilla notes and strong chocolate. Smooth and awesome ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

UPDATED: AUG 24, 2013 Draft at Good Dog. Opaque black pour with a foamy tan head. Lace. Thick ashy dark flavors. Great stuff. Dark chocolate. French roast coffee. Charcoal grill. Leathette. Rich dark red fruit. Dried blueberries. Tobacco. Shoo fly pie. Dark vegetative mater. Plum pudding. Alcohol feels flammable. Intense, but stooopidly good!

22oz bomber pours with an inky black void like body that supports a nice looking mocha colored head. The aroma offers up thin dark roasted malts, thick chocolate malts and then some chocolate brownie notes. Yummers. The taste is smooth and velvety with a Mel Tormé sort of silkiness. I get velvety fog like smooth melted chocolate bar mixing with rich oily dark roasted coffee, dark roasted malts and then sweet chocolate brownie. This is hitting the spot right now. Rich, roasty and chocolate? I say yes.
