Bomber from Hayduke that we had together via facebook chat. Looks like a stout. Very dark with some red. A tan head. Nose is sweet lactose with chocolate. First sip is very roasty with much less lactic. Chocolate is under that. That ABV is not tasted at all. This is really smooth and rich. I love that this is understated. With all of the fermentables here they could have tried to go crazy but kept it modest. Nice! The final sips brought roast and more chocolate with oranges, including zest. Lactose reduced. Grain is more noticeable. This is good stuff. Dangerous, too.

Bottle:   Black, frothy beige head, spotty lacing.   Soft roastiness on the nose and on the tongue.   Lightly sweet, dark chocolate, a touch of ash and even pasture.   Fairly smooth despite having a moderate body and mouthfeel.   Comes across as fairly solid.   Good example of an Imperial Stout.   Not all that hoppy either, very light bitterness.   Has a good balance.   Yep, solid.
