Bomber from BevMo. Pours pitch black. Roasty coffee nose with a little bit of milky sweetness. Flavor is fairly roasted up front with some good coffee notes. A little subdued sweetness. Finish has a little bit of a hoppy bite to it. Alcohol is well hidden.

Pretty damn delicious and strong. Aroma is sharp and sweet; malts and forest fruits. Pours deep black with a thin tan head. Flavours are complex; chocolate, coffee, malt, forest fruits. Smooth palate, minimal carbonation. Perfect cold night brew.

Bottle. The pour is think and dark with little head. The aroma is full of malt with a mild hint of toffee. The taste has a very distinct taste to it, but I can't put my finger on it. A very light toffee taste to it, but not enough to take away from the taste. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Black pour with tan head and lace. Aroma of burnt coffee and sweet dark chocolate. Sweet dark chocolate, coffee notes lighter than the nose would imply. Medium/full body with pretty smooth carbonation. A good warmth at the end as well.

DocJitsu (307) - California, USA - MAR 30, 2013
Pours a nearly black and opaque with a mocha head that disappears a little too quickly. Otherwise, a gorgeous brew. Very rich, dark roast coffee aromas. Creamy milk chocolate and coffee flavors dominate, with some cherry emerging. Finishes with coffee acidity. Mouthfeel is extraordinarily creamy, but not viscous. Wonderful stout. Although, the ABV that it is listed here on BA as having is not accurate. According to the chalkboard at Coronado, this beer is 10% ABV.

Nearly opaque black with a truly brown head. Sweet chocolate and molasses aromas along with a little char. These follow into the taste with pronounced dark and bittersweet chocolate and a woody dryness. The alcohol doesn’t hide here and it jumps out quickly but not too boldly, and probably helps tone down the sweetness. Whether it’s the hops or the charred grain, there’s a real underlying bitterness here that’s not always present in stouts and it’s nice. Leaves a burn behind along with that bitterness and lasting chocolate.
