Draught at Brewers Beer Bar, Göteborg. Opaque black beer with a small but lasting beige/brownish head. Roasted coffee and chocolate aroma, licorice, caramel, earthy, dark chocolate, tar notes, some dark bread and biscuits. Hoppy roasted coffee flavor, dark chocolate, tar, grass, floral, some warming alcohol. Quite nice, full bodied and with a pleasant roasted coffee and chocolate finish.

Strong Ale 2012. Black in color with a khaki head. Nose starts off with some nice roasted malt, coffee, and dark chocolate. However, it’s rather acidic and a hint ashy. The flavor is just okay. Nice roasted malt, coffee, and dark chocolate. But, the same acidity and ash flavors detract from the beer and there’s a little bit of metal, too.

Black with a decent tan covering.
Nose is big roast, liqourice, charr, spice, toffee.
Taste comprises rich malt, chocolate, vanilla, roasty tones, spice.
Medium + bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close with light booze strokes.
Decent enough impy, pretty seimple, easy drinker.

Note: The spelling is Stupid on a bomber. Bomber from Beverages 4 Less in Santee, CA. Fred’s got the good stuff! Pours very dark brown/black with a slight, transient, tan head. The aroma is coffee and chocolate, but it’s a deeper, more intense, sort of aroma than is common. Full bodied. Very slick. Flavor is coffee, chocolate and treacle. Plus the usual burnt to crap malt which is very smooth. Comes to the finish with the foregoing and a lot of bitter. Amazing ale.

On tap at Avery Strong Ale Fest poured a clear dark reddish brown with a small lasting brown head. Aromas of cocoa, caramel and light coffee. Palate was medium bodied and smooth with a dry finish. Flavors of cocoa, caramel, earthiness and light roastiness with a smooth dry lingering cocoa finish.

Bottle shared at Blipp’s surprise tasting. Pours oily black with tan head. Nose and taste of vanilla, black licorice, rich milk chocolate, roasted chocolate malt and coffee. Thick. Full bodied.

Bottle... Pours black with a small head. The nose is all about mocha – espresso grind and dark chocolate - and a big time toasted tree nut component - mainly pistachios and almonds. Medium to full-bodied with a creamy mouthfeel and tingly carbonation. Unfortunately, the flavor is not as kind as the aroma. It’s no more than a blend of rindy and burnt bitterness, and charcoal. Lengthy, carbonic, metallically bitter finish. Yuck.
