Dark brown in color with a thin tan head. Nice roasty aroma. Pretty simple coffee/chocolate aromas with a similar taste. Palate was somewhat thin, but I found that to actually be pleasant and easy to drink. Alcohol was completely hidden.

Dark brown, roasted malts, truffles, dark chocolate, molasses, fairly acidic. Lots of hops, full bodied. Decent stout, but I just don’t groove so much on these types of stout that are so acidic. Alcohol well hidden. No compliants, but not my cup of tea.

Thanks to Hopdog for sharing. Pours a nice deep dark black- oily viscous and a thin lasting tan head. Aroma is on the hoppy side for an imperial stout but not over the top- still good dark chocolate some light roast and coffee notes- hops are citrusy pnw style- columbus/crystal/cent. Earthy tea-like hops in the flavor along with nice bittersweet chocoalte some good neutral crystal malt sweetness roasted barley and espresso notes. Finsih si nice and smooth with a slight mineral- slate drying finish. Really nice Impy stout.

Good aroma, coffee, chocolate, and a little smoke. Looks like a stout should, very dark, almost black. As soon as it hit my mouth I was a bit disappointed. Very thin, very light (I know its 9.3), palate does not deliver what the aroma presents. Overall a nice IS.
