Belle mousse épaisse, couleur ambrée. 3 houblons bien présents, les agrumes et le caramel sur l’amertume pas trop prononcée. Une belle tenue en bouche, l’alcool ne se décèle pas,

Bottle at home and on tap at le sur mesure in Nantes. Hazy orange color with a disappearing white head. Medium body and medium carbonation. Fruity aroma and bitter taste. Quite light for an imperial. Very nice

(On tap @ Couleurs de Bieres, Montpellier, Aug 28 2015) Pours hazy dark amber with a moderate whitish head and lace. Aroma of caramel malts, orange peel, dried pit fruit, pine resin, slight grain. Flavour sweetish, caramel, biscuit, orange peel, pine, peach candy. Finish moderately bitter, pine resin, citrus pith, bread, caramel sweetness mostly dried out. Slight alcohol heat. Medium body, a little slick, soft carb. On the malty side and not that huge for a DIPA but it’s quite drinkable. Good French take on the style.

Bottle bought @ Stoom, Nijmegen, shared with Marloes at Cafe de Mug, Nijmegen. Hazy reddish color, medium to full sized off-white head. Smell and taste malts, overripe dark fruits, some alcohol, sweetish sticky resinous hops. Medium body, average to medium carbonation. Not bad.

Pours amber, 1cm creamy off-white head, great lacing, good-looking beer. Aroma is tangerine, resin, bit of blue-cheese. Taste is hops, grapefruit, good balance between sweet and bitter. Palate is slick and smooth with bitter floral after-taste. An excellent DIPA. My bottle says 85 IBU and it feels like it. Very good indeed.

Bottle; lot 1503, Chelmsford SX Bottle Share. Musty orange tango aroma. Some oxidation. Taste is nice Good use of Centennial. Clementines and orange peel. Orange tart. Some candi. Good drinkability. Interesting. The French doing a Double IPA has surprised me. Top marks for effort. Need to try this fresher at source. I’m very surprised.
