COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION

Noire Porter 35 IBU Lot 1601. Zwart bier met wandklevend beige/bruin schuim met rotsen. Geur: koffie, wat kruidig, een weinig chocolade. Smaak: koffie, groene hop, licht bitter. Weinig volmondig en toch wat romig. Goede koolzuurprikkel. Afdronk: licht bitter.

I bought this beer at Paris, in the cave à bulles, in Paris"nice place but expensive". I drank this beer at home in Lausanne. The body is nice for the eyes, deep black like a "forêt noire". The foam is creamy white and brown. The taste in general is good, generous hop, small touch of peppermint, roasted malt but there is one side watery and I think a lack of malt, even though it is a decent porter in a light version.

Bottle, 33cL. Home. A pitch black beer with a big beige foamy head ; good retention and lacing. Fruits (red berries, such as blackberry), roast, toast, herb. Light sweet, light to medium dry bitter refreshing. Light body, average texture, light silky, average carbonation, fruity herbal dry finish. Overall, a pleasant light fruity dark brown ale ; nice bitterness ; 1-dimensional ; lack of body.

Bottle. Black ink colour, medium brownish fluffy head. The bear looks terific. Aroma of roasted malt, chocolate, caramel and english hops. Flavour of roasted malt, chocolate and caramel notes. I would have like more balance here. Long dry roasted finish. Medium carbo and body. It could have been a bit fuller. Quite nice. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Strong bitter roasted malt aroma with some cocoa and sweet dried fruit too. Pleasantly bitter and full bodied for quite a low alcohol beer. Thanks to erickok!
