UPDATED: APR 1, 2004 Blond, slightly milky with a big head. A slight fruity, citrusy, yeasty taste. A fresh taste.

I was suprised by this one. Bitter, some citrus, some honey, fruity. A nice beer.

I really like this beer. It’s pretty expenseive to get around Ohio, but very pleasant and it’s got a good kick.

a nice beer, quite hoppy for a belgian, still very good, citrus aroma and flavor.
3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20 softale (188) - Michigan, USA - AUG 21, 2002
This beer initially poured with a huge head that rivaled Rosie’s. But it was not as dense and disappated quickly. Nose is o.k. with some fruits and spice. But taste is a bit too floral and perfumy. Also this could be one of the hoppiest tripels I’ve ever tasted, usually not a bad thing but there is something about this beer’s hoppiness that doesn’t quite sit right with me. It’s not bad by any means, just not that impressive either. There are far better tripels out there.

This is the beer that taught me to like Belgium (not that their hasn’t been many since.) Citrusy flavor, a gorgeous yellow hue which is emphasized by the spider lace head on the glass. Gentle but invigorating hop evervesence. A truly wonderful beer with year round appeal.

A beer with scent and flavor of fruit. It has a pretty dark color for a Pale Ale. All in all a really good beer.

Small bottle. A golden yellow with some rising bubbles and a white head. A spicy citrus floral aroma. Mine did not have the head and carbonation that others suggested, maybe it was the 355ml bottle. A sweet, apple, and yeasty flavor. Light and refreshing.
3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 duff (5484) - Lund, SWEDEN - JUL 22, 2002
Pretty nice, nice fruity apple flavour, nice bitter finish, quite perfumy, but not overly so, a decent and standard belgian ale.

My introduction to the world of belgian ales, at the time I thought it was the greatest thing ever, til I met several other belgians. Goes down easy, but a little on the weak side for a belgian.
