It has a very big head indeed - pour it gently - and a very clean palate, beginning with a dry, lightly citric fruitiness, and finishing with a distinctive and delicate, perfumy, hop character. Very light and fluffy in texture, giving little hint of its strength.

Bottle. Hazy golden pour, thin fizzy white head. Citrus and yeast aroma, some spice. Long fruity flavour. Medium body, very effervescent.

1 pint bottle, pours hazy orange, big fluffy white head. Aromas of citrus, coriander, fruity spice, other light fruits, some low-level yeast funk. Taste is medium sweet, low-medium bitter, light spice. Soft palate, medium body. Alcohol is completely hidden by the good balance of this brew. A nice tripel. Very enjoyable.

Like the pater, I find this beer quite sour and not very tasty. Not very bitter either.

02-28-2015 - A special bottle: letters but no paper. Very nice beer in it as well!

Very good Abbey Tripel. It has a very nice fruity aroma and a great hoppy aftertaste.

Aroma: Lemon peel; coriander; fairly floral day lily presence; decently dry but still with a little semi-sweet, juicy citrus character. Appearance: Mostly hazy pale gold with a foamy white head that settles into an ever present skin. Flavor: Floral with more substantial yeast notes; yeast comes off more gummy than the nose suggests; leading to a fairly dry finish with a little lingering bitterness. Palate: Full body, thick texture, very lively carbonation, bitter finish. Overall: Wasn’t wild about this; preferred the Pater to the Agnus. Still worth a shot for fans of the style.

Drank from a pint glass, poured from a large bottle. Pours a cloudy orange, with a thick white head. Sweet aromas. A nice sweet taste, a tiny bitter flavor. Delicious.

33cl.
