3.8 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20Golden straw color, gian head (I couldn’t fit a 12 oz bottle into a 22 oz glass without waiting to pour the last few ounces). Slightly spicy nose, citrus taste with a little sourness but not too much. Body was medium to thin. Not much of an aftertaste at all. I could drink many of these without noticing, until I tried to stand up I guess. This does not taste like 7.5%ABV, but then again most Belgian Strongs don’t.

Appears slightly hazy with a lacy white head that sits like cobwebs on top of a pale gold body. There is a fairly coarse bead and is not the most spectacularly good looking beer I have seen. It smells much more astringent than its imitators with emphasis on lemon zest and spritz. The aroma isn’t nearly as pungent as its imitators as well being quite light, fresh and almost cheeky. And so is the flavour. Much lighter in body than I was expecting with more mellow citrus like mandarin and tangerine. Not a great deal of bitterness to speak of but for all that an enduring finish. A bit of a win this beer but as much out of character as I can imagine an actual Belgian tripel to be.

Blonde claire, pétillance moyenne, fine mousse persistante. Amertume subtile, légèrement fruitée, petites notes de caramel, petite astringence en fin de bouche, bon équilibre, belle longueur.

Bottle. Hazy golden color with a medium sized white head. Aroma is malt, some fruitiness, yeast and spices. Flavor is sweetish malt, citrus and yeast. Medium body and some bitterness in the finish. Quite smooth mouthfeel. Not bad.

Cloudy golden colour with an average (to big) sized white head.
Yeast, hops, fruitiness, soap, mild bitterness and perfumes in the aroma.
The flavour is malt, some sweetness, soapy, perfumy and fruity hops, mild bitterness and some yeast.
This is not boring. And that’s nice. Not the tastiest Tripel ever but - hey it’s not bland.

Poured into a triple karmeliet glass. And darker golden with tons of head. Smell was a lend between ripe pear and lemon. Palate was carbonation and thinner than I expected. Taste was bready, caramel, and slight metallic but in a way that typifies this style...not a bad thing. Goes down very easy with almost no hops. The finish could be stronger but overall a very nice and refreshing beer after a long day of yard work.

Drank this years ago from a 0,75 l. bottle. I enjoyed everything about it. Most importantly, not being able to rate this, the pleasantness and duration of the dreams I had that night. Superb!

pours a pale golden beer with a good thick head.
Smells sweet. Fruity. The taste is a bit boring. Little sweet and bitter.
Very nice carbo. I dont like the aftertaste.

Although I don’t like a triples too much, mostly because of its usually heaviness, this is quite an exception. I liked its quite light end and the citrus and spices notes. A good beer!
