33 cL bottle. Pours hazy orange with a huge white head, the bottle was gushing. Aroma is spiced caramel malty, quite nice and inviting. There is a minor orange note too. Creamy carbonated mouthfeel. Flavour is soft caramale malty with light spice note mixed inbetween. There is a slight orange egde to the flavour. Finish is softly spiced coriander with a light malty note. Lovely classic mellow triple.

UPDATED: JAN 8, 2006 (Bottle 25 cl) Actually this isn’t that different from the dark "Pater"-version. The characteristics are pretty similar, only the malts are lighter (and the brewery is different....). Again, more dry than really bitter. But quenching. 020893

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 fiulijn (12179) - Malmö, DENMARK - JAN 11, 2003
UPDATED: JUL 24, 2011 2010-08-11, bottle at RisRas, Århus, 8-5-8-4-16=41 Hazy blond color. Dry aroma of malt and spice. Good body structure, very spicy flavor, with all the complexity and balance of the Best Belgian beers, and no flaw. Good bitterness, light final fruitness. Very good.
2003-01-11, draught, 8-5-8-4-15=40 Clean golden color; generous thick head. Nice aroma, some malt, roasted malt and spices. Even more drinkable than Pater, alcohol perfectly hidden; less sweet, less hoppy, more delicate spices. Very good, but less original than Pater.
