ilovedarkbeer (690), Dallas, Texas, USA Dec 28, 2007 Bottle has lots of yeast sediment all over the bottom of the bottle. Pours a yellow pale color with a medium sized fizzy head. Smells sour and wheat like. Tastes like cracker jacks. Poured the rest of the yeast, and then it taste totally different. More like bread and a weak tripel. Hmm not so sure about this one. Especially because I think it is past prime.
Ober (276), Best, Netherlands Aug 17, 2008 Bottle at Boshuis Venkraai. A clear golden colored beer, with a fine white foamy head. The aroma of malts, fruits like orange. A litttle pale ale like. The taste is soft, sweet, fruity like peaches and orange. A good balanced beer. The aftertaste has some sweetness. ha1ag (231), Netherlands Aug 13, 2008 Bottled at Pothuiske in Mestreech. Color is gold, but not transparent, with thick off-white head. Citrus nose. Aroma has citric with hops and yeast with something on the side I can’t define. Very pleasant, nice tripel. Defreni (475), Frederiksberg, Denmark Aug 9, 2008 Flaske. Strågul uklar med udmærket skum. Klassisk trippel duft, med frugtig gær som den dominerende faktor. Karboneringen er rigtig god hvilket gør øllen frisk, mundfylden er ellers lidt tynd. Det er også en relativ svag trippel. Borresteijn (448), Amstelveen, Netherlands Aug 8, 2008 Bottle. Straw yellow colour, big white head. Aroma of malts, hops and sour apples. Flavour is malty sweet, fruity with a slightly bitter finish. Quite a lot of carbonation. Nice beer. pojo41 (296), Hattiesburg, Mississippi, USA Aug 7, 2008 750 ml bottle.
Poured a pretty gold color with a nice fluffy head that lasted a while. Candy, citrus and a hint of spice and banana in the aroma. Complex flavors of citrus, candy sugar, spice and malt with just enough bitterness to give it some balance. Good mouthfeel. Another easy drinking tripel. Very good.
