Optigon (557), Bloomington, Indiana, USA Jul 22, 2008 Pours light yellow, cloudy, with a very touchy head. Aroma is spicy, apple, with some vanilla qualities as well. Flavor is pleasantly spicy with a strong apple body. Moderate mouth feel. jredmond (621), New Jersey, USA Jul 26, 2008 Bottle. Tasted pretty much like the Apple Bocq...not sure if they are the same beer or what. Pours a light, but extremely hazy body with fluffy white head. The aroma is very sweet - apple. The taste is very smooth and sweet, a bit too sweet towards the finish. Obviously no alcohol whatsoever. fiver29 (325), Strongsville, Ohio, USA Sep 28, 2008 Bottle pours cloudy straw yellow with fizzy white head. Aroma is tart apple with subtle notes of spices. Fruit and coriander. Mouthfeel is medium light with a lot of carbonation. Flavor is apple, spices, with a crisp apple finish. Overall I like this. Its refreshing and smooth. Its much better I think than what the ratings here indicate. Its just my preference. Doggythedog (1018), Split, Croatia Oct 31, 2006 Bottle shared with ozujsko at the Hopdevil in Zagreb Nice, a beer only rated by two people before me. It poured a murky yellow colour, medium sized persistant white head. The nose I liked a lot. Green apples and lime. A bit yeasty. That description can be used for the taste as well. Quite mild, sweet in a pleasant way, apples and lime (or am I mistaking that with coriander). A very pleasant, simple fruit beer. I liked it. yngwie (3602), Kristiansand, Norway Mar 22, 2007 Bottled at the Belgian Embassy in Oslo. A hazy, yellow-golden beer with a nice, white head. Some cellar notes in the aroma, else it is spices and green apples. Sugar, apples, spices and fruityness in the flavor. For a beer of this style and ABV it has a decent body, and a nice finish, maybe a bit weak, with spices and sugar. A really refreshing beer, and a nice start on a night of Belgian beers. (070301)
