heavy (391), Split, Croatia Jun 9, 2008 06/06 0.25 l bottle @ Hopdevil, Zagreb. Poured murky yellow body with medium-bigger white head. Spiced banana and apple wheat aroma, quite full but also a bit industrial. Flavor much worser, not watery as most of examples of the style are, but simply too industrial and soapy, even some hints of vegetables. Finish follows the flavor, adding some slight sweetness. Not so awful as might be concluded, but another Wit I didn’t like. yngwie (3311), Kristiansand, Norway May 4, 2008 Bottle, 75cl at the Belgian Embassy. It poured a slightly hazy, yellow body with a big white head. Fruity nose with apples and lemon, as well as a touch of spices. The flavor follows the same path, adding wheat and a touch of spices. It finishes with lasting fruity and bitter flavor, with some spices blending in. Medium body. Really refreshing and easy to drink. Not the best witbier, but inviting and quenching. (080410) Beer_2000 (1114), Kristiansand, Norway Apr 27, 2008 Bottle (I don’t remember the size of the bottle, but maybe 500-750 ml) Cloady orange body with a dense white head. Aroma is fruity, banana, citrus, spices and a bit acidulous. Flavor is refreshing, a bit sourish, citrus, grapefruit, grain, spices and yeast. Nice ingredients here, but a bit weak and light body. Ole_R (1055), Oslo, Norway Apr 16, 2008 Bottle. Muddy greyish-yellow color. Medium-sized dense white head. Soft wheatish aroma with a whiff of mild spices and lemonade. Fruitiness from sweetish citrus in the flavor. Thin, well coarbonatied body. Spritzy mouthfeel. Dry fruity and mild spicy end. A quenching light-weighter. Rune (1493), Tromsø, Norway Apr 13, 2008 Cloudy, straw-yellow body under a medium, white cap. Mild spicy aroma. Sweet fruity taste with a touch of wheat and herbs. Soft, dry and fresh. Light palate and easy to drink (sampled at Belgian Beer Fair, Oslo 10.04.2008)
