COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Corsendonk Blond is brewed with pale malt and is not refermented in the bottle. It is a full-bodied, blonde top-fermented beer, matured to obtain a lively, bubbly beer with a herbal bouquet and hoppy aftertaste. Corsendonk Blond is 1% lighter in alcohol than Corsendonk Agnus and is served in a beautiful chalice glass.

Note: A lighter version from Agnus brewed only for the HORECA. Not re-fermented.
Available only on tap. Only 6.5%

Orange blond colour, white head. Hoppy aroma, quite malty, caramel yeast and candy sugar. Malty flavour, light sweet, light bitterness. Finish quite dry, light bitter. Not bad, quite drinkable.

On draft at the Docks Cafe in Antwerp. Cloudy golden beer, with short lived head and a slight ’chemically’ aroma. A solid beer, and a nice for a summer day but not as good as Agnus or Pater.

On tap at De Bekeerde Suster. Clear bright gold beer, good white head. Light crisp palate. Clean malt with estery banana in the undertone. Trace of tangerine hops. Dry finish with more sweet banana in the aftertaste. Alright.

30/09 On tap at Hopdevil, Zagreb. It poured hazy golden body with small head. Typically nice Belgian aroma, banana yeasty. Flavor was then a letdown, behind classical fruity banana and other tropical fruit yeast reflected tastes, some ugly soapiness emerged, mixed with strange orange notes. Thinner body, but with OK longer biscuity finish, not particularly great, but helped in my impression about this beer. Both those new tapped Corsendonks were too disappointing, such brewery didn’t need those!

Dark golden color, fruity nose with lots of apricots and tangerines. Med bodied. Lemon zest, a touch sour, tangerines jump out in the mouth. The finish just drops off a cliff and goes no where.

Draught Darker clear-gold under a dense yellow head. Toasted, spiced, greenery, "unripe" esters. Sweet, with again a pale malts/greenery flavour. Some spice (coriander?) retronasal, but restrained. Light to medium bodied, aggressively carbonated. Inoffensive, bread&butter beer. It’s nowhere bad, but I couldn’t even get excited over the glass...
