Corsendonk Blond is brewed with pale malt and is not refermented in the bottle. It is a full-bodied, blonde top-fermented beer, matured to obtain a lively, bubbly beer with a herbal bouquet and hoppy aftertaste. Corsendonk Blond is 1% lighter in alcohol than Corsendonk Agnus and is served in a beautiful chalice glass.

Note: A lighter version from Agnus brewed only for the HORECA. Not re-fermented.
Available only on tap. Only 6.5%

Nice unclear gold-colored beer. Slightly sweet aroma which reminds me of banana. It also taste sweet and fruity, and the aftertaste makes me think of old licorice... Mooi, licht troebel goudkleurig bier. Licht zoet aroma, doet iets aan banaan denken. De smaak is eveneens zoetig en fruitig, en de nasmaak doet denken aan oude drop.

On-tap in the excellent t’ Pumpke, Valkenburg, Holland on 21 Oct 2012. Thought it was the usual Corsendonk Angus until I spoke to the barman half way through the glass. I then started to take more interest in the drink before me. Misty orange body with a full, creamy covering of foaming bubbles. The bar is very dark, so the look may well be slightly incorrect! The nose was a blend of Belgian yeastiness and mildly malty. The taste a semi-sweet and fruity, with a crisp, sharp finish. Don’t know how common this is, but I’ve never seen it before and I travel to Belgium/Holland fairly often: so if you see it, try it, you may never see it again!
