Nuts and metal. Some licorice and liquor undertones.
Flavor is sweet (burnt sugar), and yeasty. Fairly piney with nice spice.
Fruits (apricots, plums, raisins, and apple cider).
An amazingly smooth palate, as these imported belgians tend to have.
Todeon (145), Höllviken, Sweden Jul 17, 2008 Bottle. Red/Brown appearance. Aroma is raisans,berries and some spicey notes. Taste is almost overly sweet with lots of fruity and spicey notes. Mogwai (152), Askeby, Denmark Jul 9, 2008 Bottle. Pours a dark brown with lasting off-white head. Aroma of malt, dark fruit, spices. Flavor is malt, sweet, fruit, with a little alcoholic feel. Very good.
