palate a little too thin. Heavily carbonated, spiced with nutmeg and cinamon. Simple Christmas beer.

Rich syrupy dark malts, sappy spruce, and earthy yeast in the sniff. Nuts and metal. Some licorice and liquor undertones. Flavor is sweet (burnt sugar), and yeasty. Fairly piney with nice spice. Fruits (apricots, plums, raisins, and apple cider). An amazingly smooth palate, as these imported belgians tend to have.

Bottle. Pours a dark brown with lasting off-white head. Aroma of malt, dark fruit, spices. Flavor is malt, sweet, fruit, with a little alcoholic feel. Very good.
