Pours a clear ruby topped by a large rocky tan head. The aroma is sweet and spicy with loads of citrus and caramel. A very nice heady aroma. The flavor is sweet caramel, oranges, and a tiny bit of bitterness. The body is medium with lively carbonation. The finish is protracted with some smokiness coming in at the end. A nice belgian.

Smells just like Christmas, with fresh baked pie and spice cake. Felt a bit thin and watery in the mouth, and the flavor didn't live up to the wonderful aroma.

Beautiful dark Belgian ale with . Definately a winter ale - 8.5% leans towards a barley wine taste, but more of an ale - not as sweet, and prominent malty taste. Now I taste a spice flavor or some type - clove maybe, and slightly smoky flavor too. Excellent. Goes down smooth.

A very nice Belgian that reminds me of Rochefort 8 on many levels. Pours a clear red-brown with an initially thick light tan head that disappeared over time. Sweet candi sugar, apple, and vinous aroma characteristics. Flavor is pretty impressive: sweet fruit and vinous notes with a warming alcohol presence. A touch of apple peel yields to chocolate and yeasty bready flavors. Finish is somewhat dry. Nice.

A fairly thin and light bodied, though quite alcoholic, fruity and slightly chocolaty brew with subdued malt flavor. Hints of fig, orange, dates, as well as copper, iron and zinc; finishes with a lingering bitterness. A little disappointing.

Pours a two-fingered, thick, light tan head leaving an even lace. Color is a dark, clear amber. Light-medium carbonation. Light malty/hoppy nose. Medium bodied. Starts smooth and malty, finishes with a warming touch. Excellent Christmas ale. $7.50 for a 750ml bottle.

Roasted malt aroma with some nutmeg? or other spice in the aroma. Dark ruby brown color witha nice tan head. Roasted malt flavors with some nutmeg spice and some slight smoky falvor. The flavors hide the alcohol content, I would've never guessed this to be a 8.5% beer. A decent beer that was brewed very well.

'Course-I'm-drunk Christmas Ale. Okay, bad. Fortunately the beer was much better. Bubbly head over orange/brown body. Berries and chocolate in the aroma. Carbination. Flavor hints of milk chocolate. Very good drink.
