Pours a two-fingered, thick, light tan head leaving an even lace. Color is a dark, clear amber. Light-medium carbonation. Light malty/hoppy nose. Medium bodied. Starts smooth and malty, finishes with a warming touch. Excellent Christmas ale. $7.50 for a 750ml bottle.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Roasted malt aroma with some nutmeg? or other spice in the aroma. Dark ruby brown color witha nice tan head. Roasted malt flavors with some nutmeg spice and some slight smoky falvor. The flavors hide the alcohol content, I would've never guessed this to be a 8.5% beer. A decent beer that was brewed very well.

'Course-I'm-drunk Christmas Ale. Okay, bad. Fortunately the beer was much better. Bubbly head over orange/brown body. Berries and chocolate in the aroma. Carbination. Flavor hints of milk chocolate. Very good drink.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Very dry and strongly spiced. Loads of cinnamon, ginger, coffee and some notes of oak in the aroma. Very nice light brown creamy head. Nice flavor of christmas-spices. Very nice but strong and demanding brew.

4.4 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
Aroma is cherries, oranges, raisins, and alcohol. Appearance is a very nice brownish red color. Flavor is very chocolately. Some wintergreen mint and spiced plums. A sort of grainy and very sweet aftertaste. An Andes Mint in a liquid form. A tad too sweet but its one fine cold weather beer. Groovy!

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
I enjoyed this beer. Nice dark mahogany color with a large off white head. Aroma is strong with yeast, anis and malt. Flavor has the alcohol well hidden. Slightly sweet and well balanced inthe finish. I would purchase this beer again and for me this is the acid test of palatibility. Check it out.
