Small tan head. Dark amber colour with lots of bubbles. Fruity aroma with hints of malt. Sweet-bitter malty taste with hints of caramel, chocolate. Slightly bitter finish. Complex! I love it...

Browish-reddish color with a loose head that dissipates after about a minute. fairly high carbonation apparent in looking at it and in feeling it. the aroma is yeasty with a hint of spiciness. the flavor has the same characteristics, some spice (coriander, nutmeg?, and orange)and lots of yeasty goodness. medium to light body. goes down easy. did not strike me as a christmas special, just a belgian strong that hides its alcohol very well.

Bottle. Ruby brown color with a brown head. Malty with a good spice (cinammon), caramel, sweet, and balanced.

Malty, spicey, wheaty and sweet. First time ti was disapointing. But second time around it was very good with a meal.

Tasting in Dec. 2002, from a bottle dated best before end 2001, so this had some age on it. Great aroma--sweet tofee, honey, slightly yeasty. Deep red-brown color, with a quickly diminishing off-white head. Roasted malts come through strongly in the flavor. Has a tangy touch, while slightly sweet, with a berry-like note. Only drawback is a slender mouthfeel.

A maroon/redish brown color with a persistent head. The aroma is slightly sweet and slightly tart, with notes of apples, molasses, caramel, nuts, and spices. Easy drinking with well-hidden alcohol. One of the best Christmas beers I’ve had yet.

UPDATED: FEB 23, 2003 it poured a shiny reddish orange and sported dissipating frothiness atop its shining body..dark yeast aroma..lots of spice pointing towards orange peel and coriander..yeasty and spicy onslaught..spices make it full bodied..peels of orange,..apple cinnamon..lots of belgian yeastiness..some more apple cinnamon and yeast..green apples too maybe..candied apples..candied cinnamon apples sprinkled with yeast and coriander..and there you have it.

Huuh! Strong almost brutal aroma that is hard to describe because of it. Well made, bitter of medium body. Sadly there is something missing, maybe better yeast should be used? Nether less still good brew. I was jus expecting more from Corsedonk.
