3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
An 8oz bottle poured with a 4 inch head, the accompanying glass could hardly contain it all. Deep ruby/brown with tan head, great lacing. Aroma was sweet, fresh, spices, malty. I tasted clove, dark fruit, thin malts, smokey campfire, all surrounded by a dry ending. Palate would have felt fuller except for the sharp thin carbonation at the sides of the tongue. Overall, this is very nice, I hope to try it on tap soon.

Bottle. Amber, average head, foamy. Mint and cinnamon spices prominent. Very crisp and pine needley, reminding me more of an IPA than a Belgian. Nice.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
A nice medium to dark ruby brown color and a medium light tan head start off this one, which my dealer says he kept cellared for a year. Nose is yeast and spice. Fairly typical for the style. The flavor is surprisingly low in yeastiness. A nice spice to it, and a subtle, but long finish.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Funny how there are so many varying descriptions of color with this ale. Mine poured an almost clear reddish amber that has a beautiful hue to it when you hold it before light. Head was creamy and dense thanks to the work of Belgian yeast strains. Very nice fruit aroma with a subtle spiceiness. Lively mouthfeel and a smooth medium body. Flavor is a fruity malt with a peppery cherry taste. A nice belgian ale that I would drink regularly if available. Thanks to Slob for the kind offering.

Aroma citrusy, like a hefeweizen. Rich amber color. Nice hoppiness, with strong flavors of cinnamon and nutmeg. Excellent beer!

3.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
With this, I have tasted all the Corsendonks, and wonder if I will ever be able to try another. Very perfumy aroma - fruit, malt, and sweetness. Flavor is fairly peppery, as is usual with Belgians, but there is a nice mintiness about the whole thing, that just makes it for me. The first Christmas Ale that I've tasted, that actually had mint in it. I like it a lot. (and I drank it a lot).

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
750 ML corked bottle. Clear copper w/ bright amber highlights and lasting off white head. Piney, plum, lightly smokey, malty, and clove aromas are balance the aroma, but are each very distinct. Although the smoky and plum aromas seem more predominant as it warms. Malty start and well balanced, with a bitter finish and aftertaste. Oddly enough, there is a slight metallic flavor that I didn't notice with the kegged version. Some cloves, plums, and hop flavor adds to complexity. A light alcohol flavor also at the finish which is on the dry side. Lighter than actual medium body due to high level of carbonation and dry mouthfeel, not silky smooth like the description says; alcohol is warming to the palate. Overall a pretty good beer. I've had this on tap at Buckeye Brewing, and I will again tomorrow, and it seemed much better. Nice complexities that are subtle and well balanced with each other.
