joohefner (380), Isla Vista, California, USA Dec 23, 2007 brown burgundy with a small fluffy head. sweet spicy orange aroma. smooth and lightly carbonated. candied bitter orange peel and a little earthy chocolate, with a light floral hop note. very balanced and not too spiced which is a nice change from others douglas88 (1559), Salt Lake City, Utah, USA Dec 22, 2007 On tap at the Sharper Edge Bistro. Pours a cloudy light brown with a decent beige head. The aroma is amazing; exotic fruit and yeast draws you in. The taste is a light and sweet fruity mix, some strong spices, a sweet malt, a tiny alcohol presence, and a limited hoppy bitterness. I really like this beer. I’ll be looking for it next Christmas. Awesome in many ways. BeerFanDan17 (610), Land O Lakes, Florida, USA Dec 21, 2007 Had this on draft at a local beer establishment. Nice frothy head. Flavors were strong and spicy with hints of apricots and malty. Nice flavor and not too citrusy. Naka (524), Indiana, Pennsylvania, USA Dec 20, 2007 750 shared with Juart. Pours an amber red with a medium foamy head. Nose of alcohol, spice, yeast, and wassel. Has a spicy, malty taste with lasting alcohol on the palate. This is my favorite Christmas beer that I’ve had this year. SDalkoholic (1186), Chula Vista, California, USA Dec 20, 2007 750 ml bottle from South Bay Liquor. Pours a dense brown color with a small perfect layer of film. The nose is a heavy dosage of spice and true authentic Belgian yeast that I had been missing in the last few weeks of my life. So great to finally have a beer again that was balanced to perfection with no obvious flaws. The flavor is just immaculate and so smooth and rich because of the strong presence of spicy yeast backed by a big malt profile. This is a highly recommended beer and I plan on picking up some next year since it was that good. Jmichael (633), Asheville, North Carolina, USA Dec 20, 2007 pours a carbonated amber brown wit sweet fruity apple aroma. sweet carbonated tingle on front with crisp fruity finish. long aftertaste, plum in the finish. drpimento (796), La Crosse, Wisconsin, USA Dec 18, 2007 Lovely, heavenly beer! Pours a great red/amber color with quickly disapating foamy head. Spicy McSpicerson .. .seems to be cloves, cinnamon, some nutmeg. After that is a huge carmel nose. Very spiced taste. Malt is diminished. No hops. Same spices as previously mentioned. There’s some appleness there too. Not bad.
