Dec 1, 2007 750 ml bottle from Bevmo. This is the winter 2007 winter release. Pours a translucent brown-red color with a off-white head that last a while and leaves plenty of lacing in the glass. The aroma is rich with classic Belgian spices and some sweet toffee. The flavor mirrors the aroma with a fair amount of chocolate added. The Finish is long with a touch of hops and a lingering chocolate flavor. The mouthfeel is full, smooth and creamy. Overall: this is one great seasonal ale with a wide appeal that almost everyone can appreciate. Recommended

Nov 29, 2007 transparent copper with off white head, that quickly settle to thin "islands". Yeasty aroma. Dark fruits, malts, spice, and hops on the mouth-feel. Citrusy hop finish.

Nov 27, 2007 30cl bottle. Clear deep copper with a active, foamy medium off-white head that settles to a thin layer in 3-4 minutes. Fruity aroma with figs and rasins, some spiciness, and a bit of bubblegum sweetness as well. Highly carbonated which adds to a sharpness on the palate, medium body. Sweet toffee flavor with some spicy bitterness to provide good balance. Very enjoyable.

Nov 26, 2007 Poured a murky brown with ruby highlights. Aroma of malts and spices. Taste was dark malts, dried fruits, spices and a bitter hop finish. Nicely balanced and delicious.

Nov 25, 2007 Pours a very pretty red with a two finger creamy light beige head. Nice tart fruity aroma, dry, oaky, malty, nice aroma.Very sharp dry mouthfeel, hot alcohol, Belgian undertones, sherry like, oaky, spicy malt. Nice tart mouthfeel, carbonated and dry. Warming finish.
