Bottle: Red amber clear colour, with a nice cremay head. Aroma is fruity, yeasty, some caramel in the end. Flavor is almost the same. But has a nice caramelly, dark Chocolate mouth feeling, lots of maltynes in the end. Medium body, and a nice medium fruity/sweet/caramely finish. Nice Belgian Ale!

Aroma is spicy, roasted and yeasty. Color is a deep amber with a nice tight head and very good carbonation. Taste is sweet and fruity. Starting with medium body that goes down smooth. Finish comes in with a sweet taste of raisins with a mild roasted caramel flavor, this rolls into a cherry flavor that turns a bit tart in the end. In the after taste the cherry smoothes out and an easy bitterness slides though. This is not only a great Belgian brew but it may be the best Winter/Christmas brew I have had this year.

750ml bottle. Ruby brown in color. Aroma of nutmeg and dark ripe fruits. Ripe plum and berry flavor. Anise and licorice. A rum like tingle in the middle of the tongue. Prickly carbonation. A decent hop presence for a Belgian ale. Slightly hot. But thats a good thing, not a bad thing.

Bottle from Mike.
Dark cherry cola color, with a beige head.
Big malty aroma with caramel, Jolly Ranchers, pipe smoke, and fruit cake.
The flavor is very well blended. Lot of the same character that is found in the aroma. Just a smidge of bitterness.
Full bodied. High carbonation. Semi sweet finish. Easy to drink and smooth.
Thanks Mike. This is a nice beer.

Aroma is a little barnyardy with lots of fresh cut hay and is just that sweet smell of drinking through the country, with a little licorice mixed in. pours a dark brown through still transparent with a good head. The flavor is very nicely malty, with licorice, and is slightly tart. Quite nice. I can’t remember anything distinguishing about the mouthfeel or body, so it must not have been unpleasent or amazing. good.

750 ml bottle from Bevmo. This is the winter 2007 winter release. Pours a translucent brown-red color with a off-white head that last a while and leaves plenty of lacing in the glass. The aroma is rich with classic Belgian spices and some sweet toffee. The flavor mirrors the aroma with a fair amount of chocolate added. The Finish is long with a touch of hops and a lingering chocolate flavor. The mouthfeel is full, smooth and creamy. Overall: this is one great seasonal ale with a wide appeal that almost everyone can appreciate. Recommended

transparent copper with off white head, that quickly settle to thin "islands". Yeasty aroma. Dark fruits, malts, spice, and hops on the mouth-feel. Citrusy hop finish.
