Copenhagen 21/12 2015. 75 cl bottle from Føtex. Christmas tree, snow and a big yellow star on the label. Pours clear dark reddish brown with white head. Settles as thin creamy layer of foam. Lacing on the side of the glass. Aroma of dark fruits, alcohol, fermentation, yeast and a little sourness. Suprisingly strong carbonation and sticky palate. Taste is quite sweet. Brown sugar, yeast, and alcohol. Something quite strong and spicy in there too. Light bitterness in the aftertaste. A bit too sweet to my taste. But a nicely decorated Christmas tree.

Can’t believe I never ticked this yet but I used to drink this all the time in 06/07. Pours dark brown with small cafe head. Aromas and flavor are dark cherry, prune, wood, candy sugar, fig and grapes. Tons of nice malt and richness in this christmas. Medium to fuller body. The Belgians do a nice christmas beer for the most part.

Echon (306) - Århus, DENMARK - DEC 7, 2015
Bottle, 25 cl. Clear dark mahogany body with a foamy beige head. Aroma and flavours are caramel and spices. Moderate sweetness and light bitterness. Burning alcohol, which is too apparent. The taste is a bit lighter and less complex than other beers of this type. Medium body with average/prickly carbonation. Alcohol dominates the finish. Good, but probably not one I will re-visit.

Lekker kerstbier, maar iets te vlak. Iets te saai voor een kerstbier misschien.

Malty nose with a red appearance and white head. Taste with a lot of caramel and malty tones. Some vanilla at the palate but short finish.
