whaleman (2171), North Wales, Pennsylvania, USA Dec 26, 2005 Updated: Dec 23, 2006Mostly clear bronze body with moderate carbonation and a foamy, beige head. Nose is not particularly aromatic or interesting, mostly just suggesting caramelized brown sugar. Flavor is of currants, dried plums, and brandy. Semi-dry with herbal and woody hop flavors and substantial bitterness.
MullMan (1080), Bloomfield, New Jersey, USA Dec 26, 2005 dark ruby chestnut color, mostly clear. thin creamy medium tan head. aroma is dark rum, raisins, fruit cake and malt. flavor is sweet yet dryish malty with more rummy raisin flavor. a little like cranberry orange bread too. robertsreality (2460), Minnesota, USA Dec 26, 2005 Black Coloring with Tan Head. Sweet Dry Malt Aroma. Sweet Dry Rye Bread. Light Citrusy. Dark Bread Comes Out Most Prominant. Nice Malty Christmas Ale. Magjayran (1379), Durham, North Carolina, USA Dec 25, 2005 2005 bottle. Doesn’t look too exciting. Basic brown color with a thick tan head. Light fruity aroma with prunes and dates. Malty sweet flavor with some light fruit and citrus. Nothing spectacular but still enjoyable. NachlamSie (1631), Tennessee, USA Dec 25, 2005 bottle. pours a quite dark mahogany with an intense, rocky head. Aroma is spicy, full of cloves, and has a hint of coffee along with a vinous sweetness. Body is pleasantly dense. The flavor is plenty sweet and balanced by a tart spiciness. There’s some orange peel and bread in the mix. This is great for the season. pfr (121), København, Denmark Dec 25, 2005 75 cl Bottel

Ok christmas beer balesjas (41), Huntington Woods, Michigan, USA Dec 23, 2005 A decent beer, but maybe not worth $3.17. A nice mouthfeel, good lacing around the edges. puzzl (2579), New York, New York, USA Dec 23, 2005 Nice, black pour with a small, fizzy head. Aroma really shines, like a combination between a tripel and a hefe, with strong spicing: sweet malts, brown sugar, banana, cinnamon, nutmeg. Flavor doesn’t hold over as well, tasting a bit creamy and malty, though spicing is not apparent. Taste lingers in the mouth though somewhat unpleasantly.
