Translucent cherry brass in color with a creamy, sudsy, clinging tan head. Delectable aroma comprised of cloves, lemon zest, bananas, brown sugar, dates, nutmeg, anise, cinnamon and mulled apple cider. Prunes, dates and sugar plums dance for the flavor. Slight aluminum steel chord at the back belt of the tongue. Allspice, anise and straw doormats further the flavor, but the doormat is weathered, as if it’s been brought in after a particularly harsh autumn season and a few too many weeks trailing into winter. Heavily effervescent with airy quaffs filling up my belly, so it’s a touch too spritsy. Suggestions of rye, raisins and dried prunes manifest in the finish. After all these years, I think I’m finally beginning to understand what "figgy pudding" is. Well, at least Corsendonk’s interpretation of the yuletide classic. Storm (2685), Amager, Denmark

| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Dec 20, 2005 Pours a slightly hazy ruby amber with a large off white foamy head that laced nicely. Aroma I’m picking up ginberbread, yeast, orange and dark fruits. The flavor is more of a roasty malt, with some dark fruits and yeast also picking up some metallic in the taste. Nice palate...can’t pick up much of a 8.5% at all. onystrom (780), Århus-Randers Crew, Denmark
