Pours brown with an off white head. Sweet with medium bitterness. Aromas of yeast, banana, orange, malts and plum/prunes. Full bodied. Mellow bitter finish, with some alcohol. Quite nice.

Nice spicy aroma and deep red, brown colour. Flavor is fine too, very dark malts give that christmas feeling :) A bit sweet too, hints of caramel. Nice one.

Bottle, best before 9/16/07. Aroma of pine, slightly hoppy with some roasty dark malt including coffee and caramel. Dark, dark brown with a tall and frothy off-white head and great lacing. Caramel flavor, very malt forward with lots of oxidation flavors and some cardemom and coffee. Oxidation-cardboard just a little to much for me. Medium body with a metallic, mineral-like finish.

Dark brown color with a thin head. Aroma struck me as corriander; odd for the style. Basic malt taste with yet more corriander. Some fruit, but overwhelmed from the spice. Out of balance.

On tap at Monks. Poured dark brown with a small off-white head. Aroma was sweet oranges and spices. Flavors were dark fruit, carmel, and some mild licorice with a sweet orange citrus finish. Very tasty and alcohol well-masked.
