Corsendonk Christmas Ale

Hazy brown body. Aroma is metallic with spicing, fruit, unrefined sugar. Medium to light body, somewhat sweet. I used to like this?

Bottle. Brown beer with a biege head. Sweet candy malt and some fruit aroma. Dark fruit flavor that’s yeasty with some malt backing. Finishes dry. Well balanced and easy to drink. Masks alcohol well.

Quite tasty. This beer was indeed spicy and sweet. Alcohol well masked, an enjoyable beer.

Very clean and balance brune. Lite mouthfeel some woody and bread notes with toasted almonds and raisins. Not near one of the best Belgian Christmas beers. Just average.

Very dark red, amber color.Spices, licorice, toffee, sweetness, caramel in aroma, very rich. Little beige head. Licorice, chocolate, caramel, lasting sweet chocolate in aftertaste. Mild alcohol in aroma and flavor. Somehow short ending, still excellent brew!

Bottle, at home. Dark brown. Sweet and fruity aroma, yet well balanced. Long duration.

Ruby with a lasting beige head. Great aroma, some banana notes, caramel, spices. Sweetish yet balanced flavour. Banana showing up again, with toffee, plums and spices. Little bit thinner than i was hoping for in body, but still a really tasty beer.

A flavorful, somewhat typical warming Belgian with a healthy dose of brown sugar (or so it feels). Tasty, but not morish in the vein of real top Belgians. Still, I enjoyed it and will be back for more.
