Poured clear brownish red with a gigantic head that took forever to settle to a solid film and leave excellent lacng. Typical belgian dark sugars, spices and dark fruit on the nose. Lots of flavors, but nothing really dominates. Strongest on the palate are figs, plums, citrus, cinnamon, and brown sugar. Also hints of chocolate, caramel, and bread and a slightly warming alcohol sensation. Full bodied, silky smooth mouthfeel, and a rich malty aftertaste. A perfect beer for the season, and I will certainly look for more over the holidays.

Big beige head, brown/reddish colour. Aroma is yeasty, malty, caramel, straw, hops. Although not very strong flavour is warming with noticable ABV, sugar, malt, dark fruit and some bitterness at the end. This beer reminds me of Chimay bleue, spices. Mouthfeel is lively with small bubbles. This beer was a nice aquaintance.

On draft at Redlight, Orlando. Pours a reddish brown with a white head. Smell is floral, with winter spices and citrus. Taste follows suit with bitter fruits, orange peel and rind. Good Christmas beer.

Bottle marked 12.09.09. Pours with a huge, creamy brown head and a deep amber tinged mahogany body. Really amazing lacing and long retention. Aroma contains fruity esters, Belgian strong yeastiness, rochefort cheese, booze and orange peel. Taste is yeasty with tangerine skins, bread, dark fruits, smoke, and vanilla. Creamy and smooth on the mouth with light bubbles and slightly warming. Some copper in the finish.

Comes out of the tap a translucent mahogany with a thick, fine-bubbled head. The rich, malty aroma has an undertone of cloves and caramel. Flavor is malty and spicy with a caramel undertone and hints of Coca-Cola and fruit. Texture is smooth, and finish is slightly sweet and pleasing.
