Typical belgian dark sugars, spices and dark fruit on the nose. Lots of flavors, but nothing really dominates. Strongest on the palate are figs, plums, citrus, cinnamon, and brown sugar. Also hints of chocolate, caramel, and bread and a slightly warming alcohol sensation. Full bodied, silky smooth mouthfeel, and a rich malty aftertaste. A perfect beer for the season, and I will certainly look for more over the holidays. armando629 (965), Budapest, Hungary

| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Dec 18, 2008 Big beige head, brown/reddish colour. Aroma is yeasty, malty, caramel, straw, hops. Although not very strong flavour is warming with noticable ABV, sugar, malt, dark fruit and some bitterness at the end. This beer reminds me of Chimay bleue, spices. Mouthfeel is lively with small bubbles. This beer was a nice aquaintance.
