Thanks for another good brew Jordan! This ale had a nice brown body to it with a big foamy Belgian head. The smell was full of dried citrus, caramel and yeast. Flavors were sweet and fruity as well, but with a fresh undertone of toast and brown sugar. A solid drinker at itís current ABV and Iím glad to have tried it.

2014 edition; a very pleasant Christmas ale indeed! Into a wine glass, pours a dark ruby brown color with great lacing and head, also unleashes a simple but pleasant aroma of caramel malt and sugary candy. The flavor follows accordingly as a sweet caramel base with spicy pumpkin pie-like notes, rich and warming. Alcohol content is well masked and this brew did not strike me as boozy in any aspect. Very smooth mouthfeel and sweet finish rounds out a very positive experience, happy holidays!

(75 cl bottle; BBD: October 25th 2015; poured into a Rochefort goblet) Reveals a dark brown body with one finger tan head that dissipates quickly leaving film and decent lace on the sides of the glass. Aroma has notes of toffee and not much else. Oily texture with lively carbonation, medium body and an astringent, tart finish that feels a bit weird. Flavour is mildly sweet with ligthly tart notes. Is this a hybrid of a tripel and a dubbel I wonder? Not my favourite cup of tea.

Bottle from Belmont Station. A fitting glass on Christmas Day! Colour...a deep, ruby amber with a thick off white head. Nose..lightly fruity with notes of freshly risen bread dough and orange zest. Palate...delicately frothy up front with a slight bitterness to begin. Soon after a bit of sweetness follows, accompanied by flavours of mandarins and blood oranges. At the back of the palate notes of quince, kumquat and mulled spice make their presence known. The finish is long, slightly warming and has hints of boiled sweets. A lovely ale for Chtistmas night.

Oh Mr. Mayor, excuse me sir. I donít mean to insult your city, but the people on this beach are very rude and hostile.

Well, Iím sorry to hear that... Captain Dork!

2014 bottle. Pours a copper tea color with an off white head that dissipates quickly and leaves decent lacing. Aroma is malty and bready like fruit cake. Taste is also like fruit cake with some herbal spiciness and a bit of citrus. Finishes mostly dry with just a bit of malt sweetness. Light/medium bodied with high carbonation. Tastes like a spicy dubbel. Also had two year old 2012 version that had less of the the spiciness and more malt, with a little smoother taste. I prefer the more complex fresh bottle.

2012 and 2014 bottles. Pours a fairly clear brown color with an off-white head. Aroma is grainy and bready with a little dark fruit. Taste is the same with an herbal tea flavor that is much more prominent in the older bottle. Newer bottle has more fruit taste, like fruit cake. Medium, very dry mouthfeel. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

A muddy brown with a bit of off white head. Smells of fig, raisin, brown sugar, tomato, caramel. Taste is like a fruit cake, brown sugar, caramel malt, tomato, a tea bitter, bready, yeasty. Medium mouth, alcohol well hidden, very little bitter on the tongue, fairly dry. Spices in it are very subtle, hardly noticeable, but that's not a bad thing. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
