On the palate this silky smooth ale is predominantly malty, with smoky, spicy and citrusy notes, and a long, lingering finish that is lightly tart and malty.

A brown beer with a small head. The aroma is fruity as ale yeast often renders. The flavor is a little flat - but it has a good ale taste - slightly sour and fruity. A very nice ale.

Sampled draught. Dark amber. Sweet, malty, butterscotchy, late balanced bitterness.

(Bottle 25 cl) Opaque, dark brown - close to black actually. An incredibly tall, creamy head. Extremely complex, I sense both dates, coffee and rum (!). Yeast and candi sugars is very evident, but it’s perfectly in balance and never gets cloying. The alcohol is perfectly hidden. A wonderful ale indeed. 140100

Dark brown, with a medicinal aroma, spicy (cinammon, clove) palate with smooth dark malt undertones.

Bottled. Clear orange brown coloured with an off white head. Aroma of anise, fruits and dried fruits. Fruity flavour of dried fruits, spices and anise.
