| 4.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 19/20 | Dec 1, 2007 Aroma is spicy, roasted and yeasty. Color is a deep amber with a nice tight head and very good carbonation. Taste is sweet and fruity. Starting with medium body that goes down smooth. Finish comes in with a sweet taste of raisins with a mild roasted caramel flavor, this rolls into a cherry flavor that turns a bit tart in the end. In the after taste the cherry smoothes out and an easy bitterness slides though. This is not only a great Belgian brew but it may be the best Winter/Christmas brew I have had this year.
