Rosendale Brewmeister99 (55), Rosendale, New York, USA Aug 29, 2001 jondr72 (11), Wyckoff, New Jersey, USA Dec 24, 2004 This is a delicious ale. My bottle 75cl, 9.4% alc. Drinking it warm on christmas eve, it goes down big with a hint of spice at the back of the tongue. BeerDude78 (86), Denville, New Jersey, USA Dec 15, 2003 Has a very beautiful aroma. Has hints of spice, almost has a nice nutmeg minty taste to. Pours a nice dark brown ruby color with a nice head to it. Highly reccomended macdeffe (52), Århus, Denmark Dec 13, 2004 This is christmas... Had this one from a copita-glass, which must be the perfect belgian beer sampling glass. The aromas is enhanced times 10. Fruity, complex, sweet, a bit of yeast (It is Belgian!) It’s nice with a x-mas ale tasting of xmas. (We weren’t used to that in Denamrk until recently) SDalkoholic (1186), Chula Vista, California, USA Dec 20, 2007 750 ml bottle from South Bay Liquor. Pours a dense brown color with a small perfect layer of film. The nose is a heavy dosage of spice and true authentic Belgian yeast that I had been missing in the last few weeks of my life. So great to finally have a beer again that was balanced to perfection with no obvious flaws. The flavor is just immaculate and so smooth and rich because of the strong presence of spicy yeast backed by a big malt profile. This is a highly recommended beer and I plan on picking up some next year since it was that good. tsarman (794), Northern, New Jersey, USA Dec 3, 2003 This clearly is the greatest of all possible Corsendonks. It was amazing. I had it in the prerequisite Corsendonk goblet at a local bar in NB. Loads of spicy and fruity notes, this beer truly is silky smooth. Definitely one of the best Belgian Strong Ales I have had, especially in a while. It felt so good once it hit the lips. Yummy. Yes sir, I will have another. Darkover (1308), Columbus, Ohio, USA May 16, 2003 Updated: Sep 9, 2004Dark brown/amber with a small beige head. Heavy lacing. Aroma is sweet, spicy, caramel and pretty strong. Flavor is very spicy, peppery(black) and malt. The flavor is even better after 6-9 months in the celler. Dickinsonbeer (3434), Hoboken, New Jersey, USA Dec 10, 2002 On tap! Dark brown and very small off white head. Very complex, nice malt spice and hops. Tasted similar to thier brown but much smoother more complex and overall more enjoyable. Couldnt notice the alcohol at all. Nice sweet malty aroma with some subtle spicy yeasty notes. One of new favorites, however I will not get this again too soon because of the steep price- well worth it however.
