3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Draft to taster. Looks good; a silly cloudy copperish orange with thin off-white lacing. Smells and tastes of light Belgian yeast, malt, and spices with a slightly tart, refreshing mouthfeel. Good beer.

3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Couleur noire, reflet ambré. Belle mousse dense. Nez malté. Arome doux de malt et épice avec bonne petillance qui laisse une bonne amertume sur la palet. Super

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
(Bottle): Pours dark brown with a small tan head. Aroma of figs, raisins (and other dark fruit), caramel, rich malt, yeast. Flavour is very forthcoming with the dark fruits, gives it a vinous quality. Malty / caramel base is very rich, yeast and spice notes hit at the finish. Not a single hint of alcohol, very well done there. Overall a great christmas time beer.

4.2 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Tap. Tulip. Very dark amber. Smells sour and funky. Very much like a Belgian sour with dark fruit. Nice dark fruit taste, but not like the u.s. Christmas beers. Clean finish. Very nice, just not what I expected.

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20
Pours a dark brown with a slight ruby cast. Nice long lasting head that laces well. Malt and yeast nose with a touch of spice against a dark fruit background. Medium bodied with a creamy mouthfeel. Good carbonation. More flavorful than a typical trappist ale. Well balanced with the 8.1% alcohol perfectly hidden by the malt bill. Nice dark fruit flavor of raisins and figs with a touch of spice. Clean finish with residual notes of malt, fruit and alcohol.
