RnH: Extreme Winter: Way too many Strongs by this point in the night... this brew held its own for sure. Really nice representation of the style, and a few stand out qualities... the body was very creamy, swept throughout the mouth... a nice hint of cloves came though in the nose and taste as well.

Livlig men välavvägd kolsyra.

Enjoyed on tap at Centraal in Milwaukee, WI. Appearance dark brown, thick with light tan head. Aroma of Belgian candi, very sugary, clove notes. Taste is sweet, caramel and clove, strong, just decent.

Extremely dark beer, almost black. It looks delicious. The beer has a nice little bitternes, perfectly balanced with a nice, rich, fruity sweetness. The layer of foam was nice, completing the whole appearance of the beer. The finish was zweet and fruity and very nice. It definitely tasted for more. However, on a empty stomach, another one of this beer is not a good idea. The 8.1% kicks in quite rough. Perfect brewmanship.

750 ml bottle with a dark brown pour into a chalice glass with a tan head that remained throughout. Bread and spice aroma. Medium body with some spice and sweet malt. The alcohol level is very noticeable. Filling finish. Not bad for $4.99.

This beer pours a mostly clear brown color with lots of carbonation bubbles streaming to the top. There is a thick off white head that retained throughout the beer and left some good lacing around the glass. The aroma is malty and bready. I pick up some slight caramel and grassy notes. The taste is dark fruits up front with some earthy hops and bitterness and some spices. In the aftertaste I pick up some slight hints of chocolate and maybe even licorice. The mouthfeel is on the medium side. The drinkability is low with this one, it is more of a sipper and the alcohol is somewhat noticed.

UPDATED: MAR 15, 2015 Dark with a creamy head.. Great yeasty nose with a slight touch of fruits and a little bit of citruses. Body is full, carbon medium, texture thick. Taste is sweet. Palate of yeast, a spices, coffee, and just a hint of citruses. B@H

2015/01/16 - Pours a hazy brown colour with a foamy, khaki head that slowly reduces. Moderate lacing. Aroma is bread, yeast, fruitcake, spices, caramel, raisins and figs. Taste follows nose; doughy/spiced fruitcake notes, figs, raisins and caramel. Alcohol is well hidden. Mouthfeel is medium, with sharp carbonation and a sweet and mildly bitter finish. Not too sweet: Just right. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle to glass - strange nose which makes me think this is old but the best buy date is for 5 months from now. Caramel, grass, spicy and saison like yeast. No smoke. Sweet.
