Launched 1982 by Jef Keersmaekers as Pater Noster. Brewed by Brasserie Du Bocq since launch.
Ingredients: Caramel, Pilsen and Munich barley malts, and Saaz, Kent and Hallertau hops

The beer that got me into Belgian’s. Bought it because it was $7 a bottle at a bar I was at and I had to try it. I loved everything about this beer. Raising come through as well as chocolate. Goes great with a chocolate chip cookie. Head retention great.

Bottle with expiry Dec 2017. Black colour, frothy head, no lacing. Weak aroma dominated by candi sugar. Alcohol very well hidden. Medium sweetness. Fizzy carbonation, but very thin texture and abrupt finish. Feels empty, boring.

Piana bardzo wysoka – 2/3 szklanki… Beżowa, dość szybko opada, średniopęcherzykowa. Barwa bursztynowa. Aromat chmielowy, żywiczny, typowy dla tradycyjnych odmian chmielu. W smaku fenolowo-estrowy, mocno dojrzały banan, morela(?) – ogólnie świetne. Alkohol niewyczuwalny, wysycenie w szklance niskie. Malowana butelka – przepiękna! Goryczka zaznaczona, krótka.

butelka, warka do 16/12/17.

2013 bottle. Pours a nice brown color with an off white head. The aroma is chocolate, raisin, fruit, earthy, not as sweet as it sounds. The flavor is sweet, raisin, fruit, very light pepper. The finish is sweet, than a light spicyness. Medium/full bodied with moderate carbonation
