dutch23mp (160), Mount Prospect, Illinois, USA Jun 3, 2008 750ml bottle dark brown in color with beige head that dissipates quickly. Very carbonated full of flavor and malty fruit taste. Very nice on the palate a quality brew expected of this Belgium style. tarjei (1741), Bryne, Norway Jun 2, 2008 33 cl bottle. Dark brown color, nice beige head. Aroma is dark fruit and malt. Flavor is the same, with sweetness and hints of belgian yeast and roasted malt. Carbonated. Nice, but not very complex. Butters (1622), Virginia, USA Jun 1, 2008 Tasted at Dicomo’s wedding. Pours a nice clear dark brown with solid sustainable tan head. Nose of raisins, and dark malt. Tasted roasty, some chocolate, and dark fruit. Very prickly carbonation. Very good for style, but I just don’t personally care for it all that much. Mogwai (217), Askeby, Denmark May 28, 2008 Bottle. Pours a dark brown colour with white head. Aroma is "dark and brown" with clear malt tones. Flavor is roasty, caramel and spicy. mjs (1445), Helsinki, Finland May 25, 2008 (0.33 l bottle) Deep dark brown. Big tan head. Malts in nose. Dryish palate. Raisin in taste. Slightly burnt taste. Liquorice. chimpscampee (556), Madison, Wisconsin, USA May 21, 2008 Complex with subtle notes of yeast, fruits. Metalic and spicy soy notes don’t help this. Too acidic and much too carbonated for me. topher40409 (36), gainesville, Florida, USA May 21, 2008 bottle; pours a dark brown with a one to two finger off white head. aroma is a lot of dark fruit, raison and slightly toasted malt. medium to full body a little chewy. plenty of sweet malt, dark fruits, more plum than raison and fades to a slight english hop flavor. michael-pollack (2598), King of Prussia, Pennsylvania, USA May 19, 2008 Draught at TDR EX: Aroma of fruit, sweet malts, alcohol, and some hops.
