Mar 31, 2009 Pour is a deep reddish brown like polished wood. Big tan head moderately creamy. Smells a little sour with caramel sweet undertones. Taste is sour and woody with cherry and mushrooms Feels light in the mouth without being watery. An easy beer to drink,

Mar 26, 2009 Pours a dark ruby-brown with a lasting layer of off-white foam and some lacing. Aroma is sweet and fruity, reminiscent of sorghum ale, oddly. Tastes disarmingly quaffable - sweet with a hint of smoke, spicy finish, a tad watered-down but still quite pleasant. Milky, though thin body with light carbonation. Well-executed and quaffable Belgian ale. Yum!

Mar 16, 2009 12 oz bottle as picture shows. Pours a dark brown with off white head. I was really impressed with this dubbel. The beer description is very accurate. Excellent palate.

Mar 14, 2009 I thought this one was lacking a pronounced flavor, but it was still pretty good. Easy to drink, but I’ll take a Westmalle or Chimay over this any day.

Mar 4, 2009 Apperance is almost dark. Aroma and taste, good and fruity. I tought about Westmalle dubbel when I tried it, but less taste.

Feb 26, 2009 Bottle split with BillVanE. Man, theres a lot going on here, but nothing really standing out further than anything else. A decent amount of malt and hops in the nose, a hint of smoke in the taste, a little bit of darker fruits and a yeasty finish encompass this great brew. Not sure if its worth the price (not sure of the price) but a great easy drinking treat. Cheers!

Feb 17, 2009 330ml brown bottle. Van Steenberge brewed version, BBD 29/03/07. Brown coloured, showing some haze. Small tan head, tight, creamy with good retention and lacing. Aroma is raisiny malt, slight fruity notes. Malty flavour, chocolate biscuits, yeasty. Finishes yeasty with some chcolate. Medium mouthfeel, soft bodied, tight persistent natural carbonation. Classic dubbel.
