Ungstrup (11338), Frederiksberg, Denmark Aug 14, 2002 A beer with a fanstastic aroma and a very beutiful head. It has a very beutiful amber color. And has a great filling taste with hints of fruit. omhper (10728), Stockholm, Sweden Jan 25, 2004 Bottled. Mid-brown with rich head. Mild and honeyish with soft, livley mouthfeel. Fairly dry with a bit of caramel. Gentle, complex and well balanced. Papsoe (10231), Frederiksberg, Denmark May 12, 2005 Updated: Jan 8, 2006(Bottle 25 cl) Hazy brown, almost muddy appearance. Lots of aroma from the malts, extremely aromatic and pleasant. A bit on the dry side for a "Dubbel" making this easier to drink than some of it’s brothers. Has been marketed extensively in recent years, but seems to have maintained all it’s qualities. 020893 Oakes (6966), Miami Beach, Florida, USA Feb 17, 2001 The lack of assertive yeast in welcome in this dubbel, as it allows the malt and dark fruit (especially raisin) to show through. Problem is, those malt flavours are not particularly well-developed. yespr (6889), Copenhagen O, Denmark Mar 22, 2008 33 cL bottle. Pours dark brown, almost black, and with lacing tan head. Aroma is yeasty, caramel malt and a light fruity note. Flavour is dark malty, caramel and with a light spiced note. A solid fruity flavour takes over before the finish. Fruity and yeasty spiced finish. Light bitterness and a lingering fruity note. Reminds a lot about Wetvleteren 8/12, lovely.
