Commercial Description:
Has a very distinctive bouquet: yeasty, fruity and slightly smoky. In palate, it has notes of port, raisins and black chocolate. Editor's note: Apparently production has moved from Van Steenberge to du Bocq as of Sept 2007.

Slightly hazed brown appearance, decent head formation. Intense rich dark fruity nose, dark cherries, plums and prunes. Sweet fruity, cherry flavor, chocolaty. Dryish toasted finish with a lingering aftertaste of cherry centered chocolates.

Fruity aroma with a thick creamy head. Sweet, toasty, woody, chocolatey, port like taste with a slight hoppiness.

Smells like raisins, very aromatic, perfume like. Flavor is sweet and slightly sour. No bitterness. Heavy, wet mouthfeel. Smooth, with alcohol barely noticable. Pretty good stuff.
