rozsoma (42), Győr, Hungary Oct 12, 2009 The very oily texture embrace me with its sweetness! This amber-coloured brew with a long-lasting creamy off-white head is "silently" strong beer, i mean: when you feel already in your head, then you ask: where was the alcohol? In the aroma the spicyness is dominating and what’s this: coriander? If you keep in your mouth for some seconds, it so silky melting. Delicious! Maria (6056), Thisted, Denmark Oct 3, 2009 It’s a hazy, dark golden beer with a creamy and lasting head. The aroma has notes of yeast, malt, fruit and alcohol. The sweet flavor is very sweet, and it has notes of malt. Yeast, alcohol and light fruit. It’s too sweet and to heavy on the yeast and alcohol. Bart (1625), Vosselaar, Belgium Aug 10, 2009 Amber coloured beer with some average carbonation and a large off-white head. light malty aroma with a short hop bitter sweet touch. Full light sprankling palate. Finish is malty and light bitter with a dry finish. Very drinkable, nice addition to the corsendonk’s. ogivlado (3036), Zagreb, Croatia Jul 23, 2009 Draught at Hopdevil, Zagreb.
Orange/golden coloured, small to medium white head, sweet malty alcoholic nose. Very sweet malty, dark fruits and mild spicy taste with metallic and sugary notes in the finish. Nothing special here. 7.5% Doggythedog (1541), Split, Croatia Jul 17, 2009 Draught at the Hopdevil in Zagreb (they say 7.5%). Poured a slightly coppery orange, quite nice. Small-medium sized thick white head that went away slowly. The nose is sweet and malty, cloves mostly with some notes of orange rinds. The taste is odd, sweet, yoghurty with distinct notes of cloves and some odd chocolate and very light carrot which lowers the score a bit. More interesting then expected. Was hoping that I’ve managed to score all the Corsendonk beers but it seems that there’s a new one. armando629 (954), Budapest, Hungary Jul 16, 2009 Updated: Jul 17, 2009Nice amber-reddish body with a huge, stable and delicious tan head. Fine spicey aroma with coriander, fine top-fermentation character. Light sweet caramel in the nose. Nice body with a fruity and the spicey coriander taste. Well hidden alcohol, balanced flavor. judasbeer (230), Budapest, Hungary Jul 16, 2009 Clear amber orange color with fluffy off-white head and very lively carbonation with tons of bubbles.
Fresh spicey in the aroma with big amount of coriander. Quite sweet fruity flavor with banana, vanilla, sugar candy and mild cheese and earthy yeast notes.
Moderate spiciness in the finish. Medium bodied with oily, but soft texture and fizzy carbonation. Pleasant, easy amber ale. yespr (11645), Copenhagen O, Denmark Jun 22, 2009 33 cL bottle.
