3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Anise and dark chocolate nose. Very appealing. Some plums back there too. Pour is very dark with a fast fading head that is tan, some of it forms an outer ring and also a nice lacing pattern that also disappears quickly. Palate is thick and chewy, dominated by roasted malt, chocolate, a bit of alcohol warm, thick velvety mouth feel. I really liked this. Pretty solid.

2.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Pours black with a thin head that was gone within a minute. No lacing. Aroma is strangely berry like, almost like some fruity bubblegum. Taste is similar. Somewhat bitter with an astringent finish. Thin. Almost no carbonation. Not impressed at all.

4.1 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Pours dark black brown with a thin tan head leaving almost no lacing. Sweet chocklate and berry flavor. Very easy to drink and is a very good beer, surprising to see such a low rating.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
22oz bottle. Poured a mostly dark black color, maybe at best a really dark brown color with a small off-white head. Aroma was light roasted malts, some toasted notes. Flavor was sweet chocolate notes, light coffee-like flavors. Light, maybe a bit too thin for this ABV.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
The aroma is roasty, coffee, bitter chocolate, The appearance is jet black, opaque, tan head. The flavor is like the aroma, more roasty than sweet, bitter chocolate. The finish was roasty, pine. Medium.thick in body. Not bad at all.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle. Poured a dark near-black, decent tan-colored head. Nothing really exceptional about it. A little bit of chocolate in both the taste and smell. Mouthfeel is quite watery. Nothing really to write home about.
