brokensail (10640) - Orange County, California, USA - DEC 4, 2012
Dark copper colored pour with an off-white head. Strange tartness on the nose. A bit of toffee and cardboard, some toasted bread, and very mild dark fruit notes. Flavor is sweet and malty with toffee, bread, and toast notes. Some fruit, a light floral hop quality, and a bit of cardboard. Mildly boozy, too. Not much of a fan of this one.

A hazed orange amber ale with a thin off white head. In aroma, malty vinous notes, fruity esters, treacle, quite nice. In mouth, a smooth sweet vinous malt with British hops, oily mouthfeel, citrus pulp, quite nice. On tap at brewery, Dec. 3 2011.

Pouring at TAPNY. Pours a clear ruby amber with a thin white head. Sweet malt, caramel, toast, and warm toffee. Oxidized and sweet. Long sweet finish. Probably should have done the bourbon version second as this was good but didn’t hold up after the bourbon treatment.

FROTHINGSLOSH (4831) - GREENSBURG, Pennsylvania, USA - FEB 9, 2013
From the February 2013 3R6P tasting. +++ Sampled from a 22 oz brown bottle this beer poured a dark brown color with orange highlights and a medium sized foamy orange-tan head that left decent lacing. The aroma was sweetish and tart Pez and mixed fruits. The flavor was sweet cherry, berry and lemon with a light malty presence and touches of tart Pez and chalk. Medium length chalk, lemon, berry and Pez finish. Moderately full bodied. Interesting.
