On m’avait vanté cette petite brasserie, spécialement cette bouteille. Sucre à la crème, caramel, chocolat blanc, abricots séchés dans un corps assez svelte pour une si grosse bière. Vraiment robuste en saveurs mais délicat en bouche.

Cloudy red-orange color. Hard to see much head, although there is a white layer above it. Aroma is paint-thinner and dark cherries. Dark fruits with a mild sourness. Oak with a boozy finish. Lots of lacquer, but appropriate. Malts are sweet and grainy. The flavors are softer than expected; the alcohol is not hidden at all, but there is a mild, flowery hop presence. Cherries and plums have a sour quality. More of that musty horseblanket flavor. Hints of tobacco and husky cereal grains. Slick and oily feel; thick and chewy; outstanding feel. A very solid, reasonably-priced b’wine.

Bottle from brewery. The aroma is fruit, cotton candy, molasses. The appearance is translucent yet dark red/brown, thin, dissipating off-white head. The flavor is fruit, bread, candi sugar, molasses. The finish is sweet, pine and citrus bitterness. Medium in body, creamy mouthfeel. A tad sweet, but very good.

Bomber poured a clear reddish brown with a small lingering amber head. Aromas of toffee, earhiness, prune, carmel and tobacco. Palate was medium bodied and smooth. Flavors of toffee, carmel, earthiness, tobacco and prune with a smooth lingering toffee finish.

22 ounce bottle thanks to matt. Pours a nice orange brown. Toffee and caramel are big flavors. Light sugar sweetness. Cherry finish. Not a heavy body for the ABV.

From the February 2013 3R6P tasting. +++ Sampled from a 22 oz brown bottle this beer poured a dark brown color with orange highlights and a medium sized foamy orange-tan head that left decent lacing. The aroma was sweetish and tart Pez and mixed fruits. The flavor was sweet cherry, berry and lemon with a light malty presence and touches of tart Pez and chalk. Medium length chalk, lemon, berry and Pez finish. Moderately full bodied. Interesting.

My personal #1900 rating. 22oz bottle. Poured a solid clear copper color with a very small white head. Aroma is a bit of grain, with a creamy, smooth. Flavor is rich malts, creamy notes. Alcohol is hidden very well, but I got a bit of burn on the tongue. A very good brew and look forward to checking out their other brews in the future.
