3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
A very good Ale with a strong presence of carmel. Dark amber appearance, the taste is smooth, and the palate is a medium to full body.

Can from Bob - very much malt forward, played out like an amber. Reddish but flat looking. I liked it.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
A can at Bobís house just before he left for Myrtle. Poured a clear reddish amber with a small off-white head. Aromas of carmel, fruit, yeast and light earthiness. Palate was medium bodied and smooth. Flavors of carmel, earthiness and fruittiness with a smooth lingering fruity finish The alcohol was hidden well

2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Murky reddish orange pour with khaki colored head. Strange stuff going on here. I get flavors of grape, dark cherry, and apple. Very malty, somewhat sweet. Iím wondering if my bottle was infected. I bought it "fresh" from the tasting room. Just weird, but I donít hate it.

2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle. Pours a dark ruby amber body under a small fizzy beige head that faded to a thin film. The nose is toasty and sweet with a bit of a crystal malt iced tea like note. Minimal to no hops, just a malt bomb here. The flavor is pretty sweet with lots of crystal malt. Toasty and a bit husky as well. Long lingering sweet finish. Medium bodied with minimal carbonation and heavy on the tongue. This is pretty basic stuff, rather nondeScript other than lots of sweetness.

Draft at tap room. Red and malty. Looks beautiful. Taste was a little lacking. Kind of disappointed.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
The aroma is nutty, toasted malt, strong caramel. The appearance is red/amber, off-white head. The flavor is just like the aroma. The finish is sweet, nuts, pine hops. Medium in body. Not bad, not remarkable.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
The nose is fairly sweet, with some toffe notes.
The color is nice, would call this a "red ale"
This beer certainly sweet, and a slight
Overall not bad, but forgettable.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Location: 22 oz bottle from Half Time, 10/14/12
Aroma: The nose is fairly caramel, with some toasted malts, and light floral hops
Appearance: It pours a dark reddish-orange color with an off-white head and fizzy lace
Flavor: The taste is medium sweet, fairly malty/caramel, with a light hop bitterness in the finish
Palate: The body is medium, it feels a little creamy, it has an average carbonation, and a lightly dry finish
Iím rater # 11 of this one. As for the beer, it is solid, not great, but not bad. Those looking for a top of "style" (yes, I know, this is a fake style) offering may be disappointed, but those looking for a decent beer surely will not. Solid job here by Cortland.
