Pouring at TAP NY. Pours a lightly hazy orange with brown highlights and a thin white head. Sweet caramel, toast, faint hops. Medium to thick body, toast and sweetness. Earthy, cinnamon, sweet with a bit of weird plastic. Long toast and bitterness.

on tap-pours hazy dark amber with a rich light tan head that laces. Aroma is pine. Sweet medium malt-caramel. Taste follows.

A reddish amber ale with a thin off white head. In aroma, biscuit and caramel malt, fruity esters, a bit of floral hops. In mouth, a smooth sweet caramel, astringency, herbal hops, not bad. On tap at brewery, Dec. 3 2011.

Sample at the brewery, served cold. 03DE11.

App.: Really cloudy orange-amber with a yellowish-tan head. Aroma: Strong, rich, fruity, malty, bubble gum esters, really malt-forward. Palate: Medium body, fairly lively effervescence. Flav.: Rich fruity malts tempered with citrusy hops; slightly off dry with fair bitterness and a fruity caramel finish.

Pretty good.
