A hazed reddish brown ale with a thick frothy mocha head. In aroma, sweet caramel malt with light grassy hops and butterscotch notes, light fruity notes, banana, OK. In mouth, a smooth sweet fruity caramel malt with light grassy hops, butterscotch, light burned caramel, nice and refreshing. Bottle from La Bodega de Chema.

Botella en bar @ San Jose ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Pours a nice caramel red, very nice hoppy/malty aroma for the style. Almost comes off like a pale ale with how hoppy I found it. Best you’ll find in this country

This is our first night in Costa Rica and the hotel market had this in the cooler, so we tasted a couple of bottles. This opens with a fragrant hoppy aroma and finishes with a balanced malt and hoppy bitterness. A nice find in a country not known for it’s craft beers.
