Cask (handpump) @ Whitefriars Olde Ale House, CV1, Coventry. Clear medium yellow / orange color with a small virtually none off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, grain, light hoppy, lime, fruity. Flavor is moderate sweet with a average duration. Body is light to medium, texture is watery, carbonation is flat.

Tried this at the Paisley Beer Festival in April 2000. Cask, handpump dispense. Clear pale amber in colour with a thin white head. Short pleasant floral citrus notes in the nose. Thin resiny mouthfeel and good lacing. Pale malt gives a digestive tea biscuit base with redcurrant fruit and a slight hint of toffee malt. Strong hop content in this with resiny bitter notes in the long aftertaste. Hops dominate the finish with a dry resiny finish. A pleasant enough session bitter which is not too taxing.

Cask @ Green Lion Inn, Malmö. Pours a slightly hazy golden color with a small white head. Has a fruity malty hoppy caramel aroma. Fruity malty caramel flavor with some hoppy hints. Has a fruity malty finish with hints of hops in the aftertaste.

Aug 2008JDW Lord of the Mall An OK beer - lingering musty dusty hops in the finish - mainly dry with a lovely sweet fruit. A good standard.

Cask at Lytham Ber Festival. Overtly hoppy and not necessarily in a good way. Heavy wheat aftertaste. not my cuppa.

Cask at Secklow Hundred (JDW), Milton Keynes. Copper gold with a white head. Pleasant floral hop aroma. Malty biscuity taste, bready and quite tasty. Some bitterness. Rather too warm in my opinion.

Cask, 4.2%. Cloudy orange colour. Stable creamy white head. The flavour starts a bit bland, and then a little aroma hop kicks in, grassy but not too interesting.

sm89walt (1419) - Norwich, Norfolk, ENGLAND - AUG 31, 2008
Cask - Wetherspoons, Norwich. A fairly dense layer of white foam forms the head on this slightly hazy pale brown coloured beer. Aromas are malty with citrusy hop overtones. The flavours aren’t as well balanced with the hops not seeming to know whether they’re coming or going; there’s a lot of indecision as the bready, caramel flavours of the malt competes with a delicate bitterness. Pleasant and easy-going on the palate. Overall not bad for a session bitter.

Cask in the New Crown. Initally the aroma was mouldy, however moved onto a more caramel malt character with floural strange hop character. Taset is unusal, the hops try to dominate but theres just not enough, its relitivly sweet and uninspiring.

A Mes rate: Cask at Baker Street ’Sporks.
Golden brown with a slight rim of white foam. Faint hops, full of bread and wheaty cereal. Not sure what all the shouting about U.S. hops on the pump clip is for, they are barely detectable. Maybe they have been killed by ’Sporks expert cellaring and serving methods, maybe it’s just a crap effort.
