(Cask at Akkurat, Stockholm, 17 June 2008) Amber colour with lasting, frothy, off-white head. Fruity nose with notes of biscuity malt, orange peel and dusty, floral hops. Fruity taste with smooth hints of orange peel, apricots, biscuity malt and floral hops in the finish. Fairly dry, very nice balance. Wouldn’t suffer from a little more bite, but a nice beer.

Cask at Oliver Twist, Stockholm. Pours out in a hazy pale amber colour with a thick creamy off-white foam. Hay and red berries in the aroma. Medium-bodied with notes of nuts, caramel, resin and hay. Smooth mouth-feel. Medium-bitter finish of red berries, resin and blood oranges.

Cask at Oliver Twist, Stockholm. Clear amber. Dusty aroma of hay and fruit. medium dry with lovely light chewy malt character. Some caramel and lots of hay-like hops. Fresh and very drinkable with long somewhat resiny bitterness. A top flight bitter in super condition!

Cask-conditioned at the Bag O’Nails, Bristol 1/6/08. Amber coloured with a slight, off-white head. Aroma of red fruit and cirus hops. Flavour had some sweet malt to begin with, followed by a floral hop finish. Drinkable.

Nice to have a tasty beer at McSpoons for a change! Deep gold, loose head. Sweet fruity hops dominate, but decent malty body too.

pint cask @ The Galleon Fowey. Pale tea coloured with a white head full bodied with exceptionally good malt/hop ballence. Great, best new find of my 2007 England trip.

Crown & Sceptre, Torquay. Aussie hops. Mmmm. Pretty close in character to an APA - slightly dryer and lower in abv. A very fragrant lychee drop. Nice.

A Mes rate: Cask at Quinns. Attractive dark golden colour with a pretty impressive head. Almost worth a 4 to be honest. Both malt and hops apparent and reasonably balanced. Very slight tartiness to it also. Bitter finish. So so. Just a little too mellow in the aroma.

Cask gravity at the South Devon Beer Festival, 21/09/2006. A clear dark amber colour with no head. A light caramel aroma. More caramel in the taste accompanied by strong roasted malts and some fruitiness (plum?). Moderately bitter finish. This didn’t impress me much.
