Cask at Babington Arms (JDW) Derby. Dark orange with a tight white frothy head. Quite light, fair bit of fruit, touch of bitterness, pleasingly average, certainly drinkable, especially at 99p a pint!
3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 Svesse (4392) - Hässelby, SWEDEN - JUN 19, 2008
(Cask at Akkurat, Stockholm, 17 June 2008) Amber colour with lasting, frothy, off-white head. Fruity nose with notes of biscuity malt, orange peel and dusty, floral hops. Fruity taste with smooth hints of orange peel, apricots, biscuity malt and floral hops in the finish. Fairly dry, very nice balance. Wouldn’t suffer from a little more bite, but a nice beer.

A Mes rate:
Cask at Quinns. Attractive dark golden colour with a pretty impressive head. Almost worth a 4 to be honest. Both malt and hops apparent and reasonably balanced. Very slight tartiness to it also. Bitter finish. So so. Just a little too mellow in the aroma.
2.5 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 dj (438) - Gloucestershire, ENGLAND - SEP 22, 2006
Cask gravity at the South Devon Beer Festival, 21/09/2006. A clear dark amber colour with no head. A light caramel aroma. More caramel in the taste accompanied by strong roasted malts and some fruitiness (plum?). Moderately bitter finish. This didn’t impress me much.
