UPDATED: SEP 23, 2012 Clear amber, thin white head; aroma of sweet summer fruit; sweetish fruit leads the flavour too, with a hint of orange peel, some faint spice and a hop presence prevents the sweetness from being too dominant; a tinge of bitterness in the finish; this is a beer of delicate charm with subtle warmth throughout; really good

cask at Guildford Arms about a month ago - Pours deep golden with a lingering white head. It smells of bread and malt. The flavor is sweet, lightly fruity, and bready. It has a smooth, creamy mouth feel with mild hops in the finish. Not bad.

The Baron. Resolving gold with a tight nitro collar and milk-like drapes. Gentle orange, pine and dried fruit aroma. Sweet slippery palate; orange tang, pine hints and booze melding into a lasting creamy malt finish with suggestions of oak and cashew. Clean, pleasant and anonymous.

Cask at the Plough and Harrow (JDW), Hammersmith. Amber with a dense cream head; faint citrus aroma; light grainy body with some sweet malts and a dry herbal finish. An OK bitter.

Cask-conditioned at the Commercial Rooms (JDW), Bristol 11/05/10. Deep amber in colour with a decent, off-white head. Plenty of orange character, some sweetish malts and a decent bitter finish. Ok.

Cask conditioned at a Wetherspoons with Andy. Amber with white head. Ooh err this is difficult to describe as it had been Spooned to death, cold as ice but soapy at the same time, some fruity bitterness, tart, really badly served, rated when I had warmed it through.
